Microsoft SharePoint Deployment Planning Services (SDPS) is a Software Assurance (SA) benefit for Microsoft customers that plan to deploy SharePoint within their organization.
SDPS is a Microsoft funded service that provides no cost MethodFactory SharePoint deployment planning services at a variety of different levels.
Demonstrate SharePoint’s functionality, discuss organization best practices and envision how SharePoint could be optimally employed to enhance productivity and collaboration.
Architectural Design Session
Consider the organization’s size, activity, expected use of SharePoint and integration with other business systems. Design an optimal SharePoint architecture to support the organization.
Lead deployment planning workshops to document functional requirements for a SharePoint deployment. Develop and deliver a deployment document and associated task plan.
Proof of Concept
Launch a proof of concept SharePoint environment in the customer’s network. Provide knowledge transfer to IT stakeholders.

City of Indianapolis MethodFactory implemented Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007, empowering all of the IndyGov departments and agencies to self-manage their own content and deliver it in a timely fashion through an intranet that supports all seven sites. MethodFactory implemented Microsoft SharePoint and provided the architecture design for the Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority, working with HART’s IT department to determine the number of servers they would need, set them up and configure them.
