Calen​dars

Ektron 9.0 features advanced calendar functionality that leverages all of the power of the content management system. The calendar is easy to add to any page and is intuitive to use and​ manage. Multiple views (such as month, week, daily as well as full-size and miniature versions) give users access to exactly the format that suits them best. Hovering over events can bring up additional information and double clicking on the event brings up even more relevant content. In the editing mode (which can use  permissions and approval chains), a double click opens an intuitive event editing window.

Activity Stre​ams

An essential part of ver​sion 9.0's micro-messaging functionality, activity streams automate sharing user activity on your website with other users. From notifications that a user has posted a blog, commented on a forum, or uploaded a document or photo, everyone who is interested in that piece of information can act on it as it happens​.

Micro-Messa​ging

Micro-Messaging is a less passive form of social messaging with users actively updating their status, asking questions, replying and commenting to other posts and more. Ektron lets you take advantage of this functionality on you​r site, letting you participate in conversations with public facing site users and increasing the direct collaboration between colleagues on intranets.

Analytics - Putting essential data into context.

By analyzing the user traffic coming to and interacting with your site, you are able to better understand key elements of your presence on the Web. Web analytics software packages can help you understand where your traffic is coming from, when the traffic is occurring (including high and low points) and what pages users are interacting with. But this information is often isolated from the Web content itself and is out of the context you need to really take advantage of this information.

By hooking into best-of-breed analytics software like Omniture and Google Analytics, the reporting information you need about your website is integrated directly into the Workarea, putting essential data at your fingertips as integrated traffic analytics, and into a context you can use to optimize the site experience.

Multivariate ​Testing

By automating the process of choosing the campaign page that has the best content, layout and navigation for funneling users to the information you want them to have, it efficiently optimizes your Web campaign. Coupled with PageBuilder and Multivariate Wizard in the Workarea, pages for multivariate testing are efficiently built and set up with parameters that meet your requirements.

More than A/B testing

Multivariate testing is not A/B testing. It is similar (in fact, A/B testing can be considered a subset of multivariate testing), but A/B only tests two distinct versions of a campaign page. Multivariate, on the other hand, runs the experiment on multiple pages that test multiple combinations of page elements and content to determine the most effective combination.

With the PageBuilder, the initial layout is in the hands of the developers, with final design and placement of functionalit​​y in the hands of marketing departments or other non-technical users who have a need for creating specific Web pages.
