SCG Peer Review System

MethodFactory developed a custom performance review system for Sarasota County Government’s peer-based performance reviews and associated self-improvement training.  The system integrates with the County's existing HR system and delivers performance review surveys, provides real-time feedback to the employee and reports on the results.

Client Background

Located in Southwest Florida, Sarasota County is a well-known vacation destination; population 372,057 (as of 2008).  Sarasota County was one of 10 communities in 2006 to receive a prestigious designation by the National Civic League, and Bob Hanson, chief information officer for Sarasota County government, was recognized by Government Technology magazine as one of the nation's top 25 “doers, dreamers and drivers.”

Business Challenge

The Office of Organizational and Employee Development required a system to enable peer-based performance reviews and associated self-improvement training.  Additionally, the system needed to integrate into the organization’s existing HR system so that duplicate employee records would not be maintained.
