Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007 to replace the City-County
Intranet

that it has been selected to develop a joint city-county Intranet solution for the City
of Indianapolis and Marion County, Indiana. With over 60 departments, 5,000 employees
and three terabytes of shared files the organization needed a robust and scalable knowledge management/portal solution. “During the analysis phase of this project
MethodFactory determined that Microsoft’s SharePoint Portal solution satisfies the

SharePoint Server 2007 is Microsoft’s Intranet & Portal offering. The server offering, released in January, includes content management, search, business forms
management, business intelligence and collaboration tools within the Portal solution.
Government examples of SharePoint include the City of Houston, the City of Wichita,
the FAA and the US Army.
