Intertape Polymer Group (IPG) is a recognized leader in the development and manufacture of specialized polyolefin plastic and paper based packaging products and complementary packaging systems for industrial and retail use. Headquartered in Montreal, Quebec and Sarasota/Bradenton, Florida, the Company employs approximately 2,100 employees with operations in 17 locations, including 13 manufacturing facilities in North America and one in Europe.
Business Challenge
IPG was operating from Microsoft Content Management Server (MCMS) 2002 – a product that was recently retired and will soon no longer be supported. They needed to be moved to the new Microsoft SharePoint Server so they could have a flexible content management solution to grow with. IPG also wanted to improve upon the site’s usability for its B to B clients and enhance the look of the site to better represent their brand.
Solution
MethodFactory seamlessly implemented Microsoft SharePoint Server, giving the IPG staff the ability to manage the site’s content, using a product platform that they can build on. MethodFactory graphically redesigned the site to better represent IPG with a more modern and user-friendly presentation and added new, high-touch features and functionality, such as dynamic search, new product page categorizations and online ordering.
